News and Upcoming School Events

Billings Chi-Tu Do has many upcoming events for our students and school families. Refer to this page to find out about upcoming tournaments, promotion testing, school functions and other school related information.

We will also be posting news bulletins or other pertinent information regarding the school, its students, its instructors, or the Master. The calendar will also list these items as well. Make sure you print out the school calendar each month for easy reference.

Testing Boards  9/3/10  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Our once-every-two-months testing for those who are eligible to advance to the next level (if you're not sure then you're not ready) and have filled out the application to appear before the board.

NO CLASS ON LABOR DAY!  9/6/10  (9:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
In honor of Labor Day, there will be no classes on Monday, September 6. If that is your usual training day, feel free to come on Tuesday the 7th instead so that you don't lose out on your 2nd day of training for the week.

Premier Seminar - Sept  9/11/10  (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
For students in our Premier Program and also in KICK Leadership - this fun and exciting seminar style training day will focus on knife and gun defenses. ALL students under age 18 MUST have a parents signature to come and train with us. We will be using the Shocknife and will enforce the this rule without mercy. Pick up a permission slip and waiver from Master Forleo if you'd like to come.

Street Clothes Class  9/15/10  (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Get ready for another fun night of Scenario-based Adrenal Stress training on Wednesday & Thursday, the 15th & 16th. We will be using the all-new FAST Gladiator Armor in the training scenarios. Come and be the first to take a shot at it!

Game Night  9/18/10  (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
This FREE event is for all of our students (not just the kids) to come and enjoy games of all kinds. You can bring board games, card games, and yes, even video games (although you'll have to bring you own console too). Come and enjoy the night with us and since it is a FREE event, you have nothing to lose.

Premier Seminar - Oct  10/2/10  (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
October's Premier seminar class will be on Multiple Attackers. We will cover what to do and what not to do in these very tricky situations. We may even include the use of a weapon or two in our training.

KICK-A-THON - World Martial Arts Day  10/16/10  (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
It is fast approaching - our annual fundraiser benefit for Hopeful Tomorrow, a national 501(c)(3) charity organization that provides scholarships for “at-risk” and under-resourced kids in our community to be able to participate in physical and cultural arts programs.
This year our entire school will be kicking on Saturday, October 16th, from 11am-12pm. Our goal is to break not only the world record for the most kicks executed in an hour simultaneously across the country, but also our own school record of 94,108 kicks in an hour.
This is also a fundraiser for Hopeful Tomorrow so we are also trying to break our current record for funds raised, which currently is at $3052!
We will be handing out packets of information, including pledge sheets, the week after Labor Day. Please begin to contact people you know who might want to sponsor you or your children to participate in the Kick-A-Thon. Pledges can be of any size (although the bigger, the better) and can be in lump sum or on a per kick basis. If pledges are made on a per kick basis, only the first 100 kicks will count toward that pledge, so please keep that in mind when calculating pledge amounts.
Please save the date, Saturday, October 16th, from 11am-12noon. This is a very important event that we hold just once a year! Afterwards, join us for a pot-luck style lunch to celebrate our accomplishments! Sign up sheets for the pot-luck will be at the front counter beginning Sept 7th.
